Wednesday June 4th 2008 Privy Dig
Today I was digging with Ryan in Baltimore behind a very large mid 1850s house. Sadly this house only had one small double barrel lined pit that was very heavily cleaned. And to make things worse we had a torrential down pour mid way through the dig so we spent about 20 minutes sitting in my truck waiting for the rain to let up. We finally got to the use layer which was only about a foot on the bottom of the pit we got a few amber parkers hair balsams and on the very bottom an 1860s dated smooth base New York soda. I had high hopes for this one because I did pretty good in one further down the row a couple years ago. But needless to say this one sucked.
